Head Women’s Soccer Coach

The Ursinus College Athletic department has an immediate opening for Head Women’s Soccer Coach. This is a full-time position. The candidate will be responsible for the administration and organization of a successful program that competes in the Centennial Conference at the NCAA Division III level.

Projected start date: March 2017

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Qualifications  Bachelor’s degree required/Master’s degree preferred/3-5 years head collegiate coaching experience preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining a successful program
  • Planning and conducting practices, teaching and implementing skills and strategies, and player development
  • Hiring, supervising, and evaluating Assistant Coaches and/or Volunteer Coaches
  • Evaluation and recruitment of qualified student athletes
  • Retention of quality student-athletes
  • Scheduling games, practices, team activities
  • Handling travel arrangements and supervision
  • Development and management of the program’s budget and fundraising efforts
  • Providing guidance to student-athletes regarding their academic and overall success
  • Effective in-game coaching and managing
  • Alumni and community outreach
  • Campus, community, and media relations
  • Providing a positive and nurturing experience
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics

 Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of rules and techniques of the sport
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, delegation and planning ability
  • Knowledge of NCAA Division III and Centennial Conference rules and regulations
  • Experience with recruiting and fundraising

Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach (Part-Time)

The Assistant Men’s and Women’s tennis coach will be responsible for assisting the head coach with all aspects of leading a highly competitive program that competes at the Division III level in the Centennial Conference. Responsibilities will include conducting competitive drills and practices, as well as match day duties such as court set up, line ups, and in-match coaching.  The position requires excellent communication skills, as well as a passion for working with student-athletes.  All duties will be applicable to both the men’s and women’s teams. 

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, as well as knowledge of all rules of competitive match tennis. Playing or coaching experience at a higher education level preferred.

Assistant Softball Coach (Part-time)

Ursinus College Invites applications for the position of Part-Time Assistant Softball Coach.  Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: assisting in the organization and supervision of all aspects of a competitive Softball program, recruitment of qualified student-athletes with a commitment to academic success and the ability to relate to those student-athletes, and compliance with NCAA, Ursinus College, and the Centennial Conference rules and regulations. MUST be able to travel to the team’s spring break trip. Candidate must possess excellent organizational skill and outstanding written and verbal communication abilities. Previous coaching and/or collegiate playing experience preferred. Ursinus College is a member of NCAA Division III and the Centennial Conference.

Assistant Coach, Men’s and Women’s Track & Field – Vertical Jumps (Part-Time)

The Ursinus College Athletic department has an opening for an Assistant Track and Field Coach. This is a part-time position (no benefits). The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Track & Field Coach in the development of the vertical jumping events (pole vault and high jump). Duties include but are not limited to: planning and conducting practices for athletes competing in the vertical jumping events; evaluation and recruitment of qualified prospective student athletes in the jumping events; and ability to work week nights (4:00-7:00PM) and weekends. Preference will be given to those candidates that have coaching and/or competing experience in the vertical jumping events.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, knowledge of rules and techniques of the sport and excellent communication skills. Competing and/or coaching experience at the collegiate level and USATF Level One certification preferred.
