The Ursinus College Department of Athletics looked no further than across campus to replace a legendary employee, tapping Jill Fazzini as administrative coordinator.
Fazzini makes the move to Coaches' Row from the Career and Professional Development office, where she has served as office manager since 2014. She takes over for Kathy Peck, who is retiring after 28 years of service to the college, and begins her new duties on Monday.
As office manager for the CPD, Fazzini was tasked with scheduling advising appointments for students; coordinating on-campus interviews and employer visits; developing marketing initiatives around the department's programs, events, and services; creating content for social media; managing student payroll and the department's budget; and assisting career advisors when needed. Fazzini was also heavily involved in planning the annual Job, Internship, and Networking Fair, including overseeing the employer registration process and venue layout, marketing the event to students, and processing payments.
Prior to starting her career at Ursinus, Fazzini worked as a project manager and executive assistant for Jaguar Appraisals & Determinations, Inc., a forensic engineering consulting firm serving attorneys and claims adjusters. Before that, she spent six years as the communications specialist in the Office of Public Relations and Marketing at her alma mater, Gwynedd-Mercy College.
Fazzini graduated from Gwynedd-Mercy in 1999, majoring in English with a concentration in communications.
A lifelong tap dancer, Fazzini is a certified instructor in Tap 'n Burn, a cardio tap fitness class. She resides in Collegeville with her husband and their three children.
