COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College athletic department has released the 2010 football schedule.
The Bears are scheduled to open up Saturday, September 4, with a 7 p.m. kickoff against Albright College at Shirk Stadium in Reading. That contest will serve as the Bears lone non-conference this season, as with the addition of Susquehanna as an associate member in the Centennial, the Bears will play nine conference games.
Conference play starts the following week on Saturday, September 11 as the Bears head to Lancaster to take on the Diplomats of Franklin & Marshall.
The Bears open up at Patterson Field on Saturday, September 18 as Ursinus hosts Juniata at 1 p.m. Susquehanna will make its first visit to Patterson Field as a Centennial Conference member on Saturday, September 25 for a 1 p.m. matchup.
A trip to Gettysburg on Saturday, October 2 for a 1 p.m. kickoff will be the last game Ursinus before the bye week.
After the bye week, the Bears will host Johns Hopkins (October 16, 1 p.m.) and McDaniel (October 23, 1 p.m.) in back-to-back weeks. After two straight at home, the Bears go to the Lehigh Valley for two straight as they head to Moravian (October 30, 1 p.m.) and then Muhlenberg (November 6, 1 p.m.).
The regular season ends Saturday, November 13, as the Bears host Dickinson at 1 p.m.
Ursinus finished last season with a mark of 6-5 and 6-2 in the
Centennial, advancing to the ECAC playoffs.
