Gymnastics wins home dual with Ithaca

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus sophomore Kristina Steffenhagen posted a 9.575 on the floor, while junior Kristin Aichele went 9.425 on the vault pacing Ursinus to a 183.350 team score in a dual meet against Ithaca on Sunday in gymnastics.

Ithaca finished with a team score of 170.600. Both Steffenhagen and Aichele won their respective events, while freshman Lauren Chavis won the bards with a score of 9.250.

On the beam, Chavis also won that event with a 9.425.

Steffenhagen was fourth overall on the vault at 9.150, while freshman Vanessa Scalora was sixth overall at 9.025. Senior Riley Acton (8.925) and senior Megan Bolash (8.850) rounded out the top five.

On the bars, freshman Jillian Casarella was third overall at 9.175, with Acton fourth at 9.125. Senior Monica Durham was fifth overall at 9.100, followed by Scalora at 8.975.

On the beam, junior Karina Marks was third overall at 9.125 followed by Steffenhagen at 9.125 as well. Freshman Allyson Getty was fifth at 9.100 with Casarella seventh with a season-best 8.800

The floor exercise saw Scalora second at 9.475, Casarella third at 9.400, Acton fourth at 9.250 and junior Adelaide Hurlbert fifth at 9.075.
