WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel put all five starters in double figures, paced by 25 points from guard Andrew Merlo as the Green Terror (10-5, 4-4 Centennial) defeated Ursinus (6-9, 4-4 Centennial) 90-76 Saturday afternoon at the Gill Center.
McDaniel had a six-point halftime lead and made eight three-pointers en route to the win.
Ursinus got 19 points each freshman guard Malik Draper (Scranton, Pa./Scranton Area) and senior forward Jon Ward (Allentown, Pa./Parkland). Junior point guard Jesse Krasna (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury) scored 12 points for Ursinus.
Ward grabbed nine rebounds for Ursinus who had a 32-30 lead on the glass.
Ursinus will go to Washington (Md.) on Wednesday.
