Page named assistant coach
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus College men’s lacrosse
head coach Jamie Steele has announced the hiring of David Page as
an assistant coach. Page comes to Ursinus from Kenyon College,
where he earned his undergraduate degree in American History.
“I am very excited to have Dave join our staff. He is an
extremely hard worker and will be a huge asset working with our
goalies and defense,” said Steele.
He was a three-year starting goalie for Kenyon and team captain his
senior season. Over his career he had a 60.1 save percentage and
allowed 7.6 goals per game. He was in the NCAA tournament two
times, and finished second all-time in Kenyon history in goals
against average.
In 2009, Page was awarded first team all-league. He also earned
second team all-league honors in 2008.
He was also named player of the week by NCAC, and was a three-time
James A. Buffalin Award winner as Defensive MVP at Kenyon.
Ursinus begins the 2010 season playing at Messiah College on
Saturday, February 27.
