DeSales hands Bears 2-1 loss in double overtime
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - DeSales' Jonathan Balfour scored two goals,
including the game winner in the 105th minute as the
Bulldogs (4-1) defeated Ursinus (1-1-1) 2-1 Sunday afternoon in a
double-overtime affair in men's soccer.
Balfour scored in the 72nd minute to tie the score on a
shot from the right side.
Ursinus took a 1-0 lead at 53:48 when senior midfielder
Ryan Murray (Media, Pa./Penncrest) scored on a
penalty kick.
Ursinus, who was outshot 27-17, got 12 saves from sophomore
goalkeeper Mike Alfieri (Mount Laurel,
N.J./Lenape).
The Bears will host Scranton on Wednesday.
