2011 Men's Soccer schedule released

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's soccer team will open the 2011 season on Saturday, September 3 at 1 p.m. against Misericordia, as part an 18-match slate.

The Bears, who will be playing on the turf at Patterson Field, will be home for eight contests and have a variety of opponents before heading into conference play.

Following the Misericordia match, Ursinus will travel down Route 30 to take on Immaculata on Wednesday, September 7 at 4 p.m.

The weekend of September 10, Ursinus will travel to St. Mary's College of Maryland to take part in the Seahawk Classic. The Bears will take on Salisbury on Saturday at 4 p.m., before taking on host St. Mary's at 3 p.m. on Sunday.

The Bears play their first night match in school history on Wednesday, September 14, as they host Scranton at 7 p.m. On Friday, September 16, the Bears open up conference play at 7 p.m. as they host Gettysburg.

On Wednesday, September 21, Ursinus travels to Alvernia for a 7 p.m. match, followed by a 6 p.m. home match on Saturday, September 24 against McDaniel.

From there, home matches include Johns Hopkins (October 8, 1 p.m.), Swarthmore (October 15, 6 p.m.), Kean (October 18, 7 p.m.) and Haverford (October 26, 7:30 p.m.)

Road matches feature trips to F&M (September 27, 7 p.m.), Washington College (October 1, 1 p.m.), King's (Pa.) (October 4, 7 p.m.), Goucher (October 11, 7 p.m.), Dickinson (October 22, Noon), and Muhlenberg (October 29, 4 p.m.).
