CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Ursinus forged a tie with Washington College in Centennial Conference men's soccer play, as both teams played to a 1-1 stalemate after double overtime.
Ursinus got its lone goal in the 57th minute as senior midfielder Andrew Machalick (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) scored on a penalty kick. Washington countered with a goal in the 80th minute.
Senior goalkeeper Mike Alfieri (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) had nine saves as Washington banged out 30 shots on the afternoon.
Ursinus (2-7-1, 1-2-1 Centennial) heads to King's on Tuesday.
