Men's Soccer downed by Haverford, 1-0

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Haverford scored the lone goal in the 64th minute of play on Wednesday evening as the Fords (8-6-1, 4-4 Centennial) defeated the Bears (3-11-3, 2-5-1 Centennial) 1-0 in a spirited men's soccer matchup on Patterson Field.

Senior midfielder Alejandro Martinez scored off of a superb cross from senior midfielder Tyler Freeman at 63:55.

Ursinus, who was outshot 24-4, had several chances in the second half. The Bears had one last gasp in the final minute, but a shot sailed wide in the final seconds. 

Senior goalkeeper Mike Alfieri (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) made six saves in the loss.

Ursinus will head to Muhlenberg on Saturday.
