Bears have strong Saturday at Centennial Conference Championships
LANCASTER, Pa. - The Bears opened up the night by finishing
sixth in the 200 relay as the team of freshman Scott
Paine, freshman Philip Quick, junior
Lloyd Tannenbaum and freshman David
Yazbeck finished sixth with a mark of 1:40.43.
In the 100 fly, sophomore Chris Smith finished
seventh with a time of 53.17, which set a school record.
Tannenbaum finished fifth in the 200 free with a time of 1:45.97,
with Paine finishing sixth with a time of 1:46.05 and freshman
David Wagner 15th with a time of
1:49.98. Tannenbaum had set the school record in the morning
preliminaries with a mark of 1:45.94, finishing fourth.
Yazbeck finished fourth in the 100 breast with a time of 1:01.04,
with Quick finishing sixth with a mark of 1:01.72.
In the 800 free relay, Paine, Smith, Wagner and Tannenbaum teamed
up to finish third in the event with a school record time of
7:07.78.
In the morning preliminaries, Smith finished sixth in the 100 fly.
Paine finished sixth in the 200 free with a mark of 1:46.28, with
Wagner finishing 16th with a mark of 1:50.03.
In the 100 breast prelims, Yazbeck finished sixth with Quick
finishing seventh with a mark of 1:01.77.
