Men's Tennis downs Alvernia, 8-1

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's tennis team reached the ten-win mark with an 8-1 win over Route 422 rival Alvernia (6-8) on Thursday afternoon.

The Bears started the day by winning all three doubles matches as Evan Stutchin and Logan Metcalf-Kelly defeated Nathan Bauer and Daniel Minnich at number one flight, 8-1. At number two flight, Tyler Arsenault and Dylan Marsh defeated Aaron Yuros and William Gerber, 8-5.

Finally, at number three flight, David Rowe and Mike Melchiorre defeated Jacob Conapitski and Ben Daubenspeck, 8-1.

In singles play, Stutchin defeated Bauer at number one flight, 6-1, 6-1, while Arsenault defeated Yuros, 6-0, 6-1 at number three flight. 

At number four flight, Rowe defeated Gerber, 4-6, 7-5, 10-6, with Lynch winning at number five flight 6-0, 6-1, over Conapitski. 

At number six flight, Melchiorre defeated Daubenspeck, 6-0, 6-0.
