Stutchin named first-team All-CC in men's tennis; Smith named Coach of the Year
LANCASTER, Pa. – Ursinus College junior men's tennis player Evan Stutchin (Cape Coral, Fla./Canterbury School) was named first-team All-Centennial singles on Friday afternoon by the conference office. Stutchin, who was a second-team selection a year ago, was selected to the first-team by the head coaches in the Centennial Conference.
In addition, Ursinus head coach Pete Smith was named as the Coach of the Year in the Centennial.
Stutchin finished the season with a record of 18-6, including a 16-3 mark at number one singles in dual meet action. Stutchin had an eight-match win streak during the year, and was 5-3 in the Centennial.
Smith, in his sixth year as coach, led the Bears to a 14-7 mark and a playoff spot for the first time in school history. The 14 wins was a school record for wins in a season.
