Oberholtzer Named CC Player of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. – Junior Max Oberholtzer of the Ursinus College men's tennis team was awarded Centennial Conference Player of the Week honors, the league office announced Monday.

Oberholtzer was thoroughly dominant in Saturday's 7-2 victory over York (Pa.) in the Bears' home opener. He swept his opponent at first singles by a 6-0, 6-0 tally and teamed with sophomore Paul Vecchio for an 8-2 triumph at first doubles.

The CC Player of the Week for the third time in his career, Oberholtzer is 6-3 overall and 5-1 in singles dual matches this season. He and Vecchio are 7-2 overall and 5-2 in dual matches at first doubles.

The men's tennis team is scheduled to host Cabrini on Wednesday, March 22.
