Softball Named DIII ERA Champion

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Ursinus College softball team was named as the 2010 NCAA Division III statistical champion for Earned Run Average.  The Bears finished the season with an ERA of 0.75. 

The Bears also achieved this honor in 2008, making them the Division III champions in ERA for two of the past three years.  

The team finished the 2010 season with an overall record of 28-7 and a conference record of 15-1.  Both starting pitchers held an ERA under 1.00.  Ursinus' Lauren Davis-Macedonia (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) was also awarded Pitcher of the Year by the Centennial Conference for the third straight year.
