Rowan doubles up WLax, 12-6

GLASSBORO, N.J. – Rowan got five goals and two assists from Becca Wood as the Profs (2-3) handed Ursinus (1-3) a 12-6 loss on Saturday afternoon in women's lacrosse non-conference action.

The Bears got three goals from junior attack Amber Moyer (Womelsdorf, Pa./Conrad Weiser), while junior midfielder Nicole Kovacs (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township), freshman midfielder Devin Brackel (West Windsor, N.J./West-Windsor Plainsboro) and sophomore midfielder Kitty Dawson (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) also had goals.

Individually, Brakel and junior midfielder Caroline Cannon (Garrison, N.Y./James I. O'Neill) each had four ground balls with Brakel netting three caused turnovers.

In goal, freshman Margaret Philbin (Danbury, Conn./Ridgefield) made two saves in the first half, with junior goalkeeper Riley Pembroke (Great Falls, Va./Langley) making five saves in the second 30 minutes.

Ursinus hosts Cabrini on Tuesday.
