Jeff Ykoruk enters his ninth season as the head women's soccer coach at Ursinus College. Ykoruk has totaled 79 wins in first eight seasons at Ursinus, good for most in school history. Ykoruk also stands third among active Centennial Conference coaches in wins and conference wins.
In 2010, Ykoruk led the Bears to a 10-7-1 overall record including a 6-4 conference mark and 6-2 home record. The Bears finished strong, winning five straight down the stretch, including two straight overtime contests.
From 2008 to 2009, under Ykoruk, the Bears went 9-9-1 in
conferecne play. Five of their six wins in 2008 came via the
shutout.
In 2007, Ykoruk led the Bears to an appearance in the Centennial
Conference title match, before falling to Johns Hopkins. The Bears
finished the season 11-5-4 overall and a 7-1-2 mark in the
Centennial, sharing top honors with the Blue Jays.
Ykoruk took the Bears to new heights in 2006, making their
first-ever post-season appearance in the ECAC tournament after
advancing to the Centennial Conference playoffs for the third
straight year. Also for the first time, Ursinus reached 13 wins in
a season to reset the school record established in 2005. Last
season also marked the first time the Bears were regionally
ranked.
In 2005, Ykoruk led the Bears the school record, at that time, for
most wins with 13 and most goals scored in a season with 38.
Ursinus made its second straight conference tournament appearance
and posted its first playoff win ever.
In his inaugural season, Ykoruk took an Ursinus team that went
1-8-1 in conference play the previous year, to its first-ever
playoff appearance. In 2003, the Bears set program records in
overall wins and conference wins, both records broken the following
season. This year, Ursinus was one of the Top 20 Most Improved
Division III women's soccer teams.
Ykoruk, who played college soccer at Elmira and Eastern, became
just the second head coach in the history of the program. In 2002,
he served as Ursinus' assistant men's soccer coach.
Ykoruk brings over 10 years of coaching experience to the
forefront of the Ursinus women's program. He currently works with
the U-16 EPA Olympic Development Program girl's team and trains
various clubs team in the area.
In addition, he served as director of coaching on the boy's side
of the Souderton Area Soccer Association and also as the assistant
director of the Soccer Success Camp.
