NEW ORLEANS – The Ursinus College women's track and field team has been awarded All-Academic Team honors by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Bears were one of 183 Division III women's programs to earn the accolade, given to teams that achieve at least a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average for the 2016-17 academic year.
Ursinus excelled in the classroom this season, posting a 3.289 team GPA. Additionally, 2017 graduates Alicia Baker, Erin Farrell, Samantha Innes, and Tia Wisdo; rising senior Lily Talerman; and rising juniors Morgan Cope, Riley Engel, Brittany Gasser, Elizabeth Iobst, Gabrielle Manto, and Audrey Simpson were all named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for both the winter and spring seasons.
Farrell, also a four-year member of the women's soccer team, was Ursinus' nomination for the NCAA Woman of the Year award.
