Volleyball tipped by Dickinson, 3-1

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus got three players with double digits in kills on Saturday afternoon against Dickinson, but, the Red Devils (6-13, 5-4 Centennial) defeated the Bears (7-16, 2-7 Centennial) 3-1 in volleyball play.

Set scores were 25-21, 21-25, 25-23 and 25-18.

The Bears were paced by a match-high 17 kills from senior middle blocker Kristin Hanratty (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) with junior middle blocker Anahi McIntyre (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) going for 11. Sophomore setter Gina Powers (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) getting ten kills, and 33 assists.

Sophomore libero Leah Masiello (New Castle, Del./St. Elizabeth's) had 22 digs, with Hanratty having 13. Hanratty also added three blocks.

Dickinson got 13 kills from freshman outside hitter Emily Smith, and nine kills from senior outside hitter Sam Iazzetta.

Ursinus closes the season next Saturday with a matchup against Muhlenberg.
