Women’s track & field senior Morgan Cope won the Centennial Conference outdoor pole vault championship event as she turned in the best pole vault clearance in school history. Cope became the first pole vaulter in program history to earn conference gold. She cleared 11-4.50, a foot higher than the previous school record. Her mark was tied with Johns Hopkins’ Annie Gutierrez but it took Cope one try to make the clearance while Gutierrez needed three attempts.
