HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa. – Rachel Conhoff picked up the first individual title of her career to headline a first-place effort for the Ursinus College women's cross country team at the Penn State Abington Invitational.
Conhoff finished the 5-kilometer track Lorimer Park in 22:10.4, more than 14 seconds clear of the runner-up from PSU-Berks. The sophomore was one of four in the top eight for the Bears, who accounted for almost half of the first 20 individual finishers and posted their first team title since the Highlander Invitational in 2014.
The Bears' average time of 23:08 was more than two-and-a-half minutes faster than that of second-place Immaculata.
Ursinus returns to action next Saturday at Stockton's Osprey Invitational.
